Chiropractic is not

Chiropractic is not- A procedure, which takes pressure off pinched nerves. This is a predominant thought about chiropractic. A pinched nerve does not cause pain but conduction block ( Anesthesia or numbness). I will speaker later about what happens to cause pain. Therapy for slipped disc. Many people seem to think that a disk can just slip out of place, and then cause pressure on a surrounding nerve. From number one, you know that that the pressure on a nerve does not cause pain. A disc did not slip out out of the blue. Dr. Nikolai Bolduk Makes this comment, concerning discrimination, “disc herniation is relatively uncommon cause of lumbar pain and… ” Chiropractors are bone movers – First, bones Do not move out of place. Second, chiropractors do not move bones. The noise that can be heard after An adjustment is gas, mainly nitrogen, being released from the joint capsule. Motion is increased after adjustment, but no bones are moved in order for this to happen. Chiropractors will keep you coming back forever – I’m  sure you have heard, “once you go to a chiropractor, you always have to go. “This is not true. Yes, treatment may take a considerable amount of time but remember to have realistic expectations. Just like you prevent problems from occurring to your house or car, you need to prevent problems with your body. Chiropractic is a faith healing technique – Chiropractic is  real. It is not only for those who believe in it but for everyone. Chiropractic reinstates normal biomechanical neurological function. Not you know what chiropractic is it is not what is it? Spinal Decompression – Good for A Portion of Disc Related Issues

Spinal decompression therapy helps relieve back and neck pain caused by a bulging or herniated disc in the cervical spine (neck) or lumbar spine (lower back). The use of spinal disc decompression therapy leads to the reduction of  pressure on the discs of the spine. Spinal Decompression doesn’t work for all spinal conditions, but does have an effective rate for specific types of disc related issues.  This type of passive treatment can relieve chronic disc problems. At Shepard Pain and Performance Care we believe in active therapies. Specifically a form of active physical therapy called McKenzie Methods, which is offered by Dr. Shepard, is a fast and effective way of reducing disc related neck and back pain. Mckenzie Method is a systematic approach to the spine, that seeks understand the biomechanics of the spine and apply them to reducing back and neck pain. The McKenzie Institue states; “By using this progression of applied mechanical forces (the cause) utilizes pain response (the effect) to monitor changes in motion/function. The underlying disorder can then be quickly identified through objective findings for each individual patient. The McKenzie classification of spinal pain provides reproducible means of separating patients with apparently similar presentations into definable sub-groups (syndromes) to determine appropriate treatment.” McKenzie Methods seeks to treat three main types of spinal issues -> Postural, Dysfunction, and Derangement. Defined Below As Postural: End-range stress of normal structures Dysfunction: End-range stress of shortened structures (scarring, fibrosis, n.root adherence) Derangement: Anatomical disruption or displacement within the motion segment (All three mechanical syndromes – postural, dysfunction, and derangement – occur in the cervical as well as thoracic and lumbar regions of the spine.)
